Dr. Micki D. Hecht lives in Las Vegas with her husband, Rabbi Mel Hecht, MHL, DD, and her children and grandchildren.  Dr. Hecht and her husband served as Citizen Ambassadors in the Soviet Union in 1987.  At that time they were guests of the Soviet Government for the US/USSR Peace Walk.  Dr. Hecht returned to Soviet Central Asia in 1990 with her daughter Melissa, then age five.  Dr. Micki D. Hecht, along with her husband was also a guest of the Turkish Government in 1992 for the Quincentennial Celebration of the Immigration of Spanish Jews to Turkey.  They, along with their children have been guests of the United States Government for Presidential Inaugurations and NASA Space Launches.  The Hechts were invited by Jan Kasl, the Mayor Of Prague in the Czech Republic to celebrate the Pope's "International Day of Reconciliation" (March 8, 2000).

 

She teaches an average of 10 classes per week, in Ethics, Stress Management and Bible.  Her students range in age from 3 to 83!    Dr. Micki D. Hecht counsels individuals with substance addiction at no charge.  She feels that she has been blessed in many ways, and if she can use her gifts to help others, then she is doing her part to help improve the Human Condition, and bring about the Perfection of the World in partnership with God.
